Lover, Where Art Thou ?

Hi there again,

So Mr. B went away for a couple of days and help me Lord, I missed my husband dearly. I basically sat down the whole day before he left thinking of how much I would miss him.

As I thought of how much I was going to miss him, even though he hadn't left, the Holy Spirit nudged me. I had basically mapped out how I would wait for his calls, and how lonely I would be without him for me to look at, trouble or simply enjoy his presence. (Yes I know, I am in love. Should that be news?)

Anyway, Mr. B went on his trip, and for each day I remember waiting patiently just to hear his voice. Not like we weren't chatting oh, but I wanted to experience a deeper level of intimacy associated with hearing my lovers voice after a few hours. *Sighs*

Anyway, enough of me giving you my emotional rundown. Let's get to the lesson.

A Little Dirt, A Few Flies

Hello again,

And welcome back fellow growing Christians (old and new),

So we do not waste too much time, I'll like us to get down to business...

Have you ever left a piece of trash out somewhere for a little while?  Let's say a piece of mango you just finished eating or a piece of moldy leftover lunch. What happens when you do that, go away for 5 minutes and come back? Yes, I do expect you to answer that question, only that I can't hear your answer, so I'll go ahead and write mine. Well, you get a bunch of flies buzzing around your trash.

A couple of days ago, as I rushed to get ready for work, I took out the bin bag and placed it outside, on the veranda. The plan was to pick if up from the veranda and take it to the bigger bin outside the compound. As rushing to work will have it, I totally forgot to do that.

Fast forward to about two days after. I am in the kitchen cooking, and I keep hearing the buzzing of flies by the window.  What in heavens name is attracting those?  I ask myself. I keep cooking for a while, and when the buzz becomes too annoying, I step outside to check. Lo and behold, here is my small bag of forgotten trash. Oh boy.

Hey, Wait For Me !!!

Ok, so I am the scapegoat of today.

A little background on today's lesson.

I normally meet the office bus to work at a particular stop. For each stop, it has a specific time it gets there and picks people. I left the house early enough to get to my stop, walked to the junction and waited for a car, but once I entered public transport, I knew I was going to be late.

The reason being:

Oh What Joy !!!

Let me paint a little scenario that has my heart filled with Joy, this story centers around Mr. B. Forgive me, My Love.

If anyone knows my husband, you would know how simple he can be. Well, me being the unsimple one, have of course tried to incorporate some "higher grades of simple" into his life. A couple of days ago was one notable success for me. I succeeded in making my husband wear a style different from his usual. You see, this seems like a very simple act, but it entailed some gradual mental conviction, to the practicality of getting him to agree to the style and finally putting it on. *sighs*.

Well, once Mr. B got dressed yesterday believe me when I say I was glad about what I saw. Oh, maybe glad is an understatement, I was overjoyed. Consciously or unconsciously, I kept throwing glances at my husband and grinning in my head.

Like that was not enough, I made sure everyone noticed his dressing (not like they couldn't see, but you know, appreciate my husband). The icing on the cake for me was when Mr. B, mentioned he liked his outfit. Oh my God, my heart melted (me screaming, "Yesss, he liked it").

Hold on for me, this is not a pointless post of my oohing and ahhing about my husband, I am getting to the lesson.

Growing my hair spiritually 😆

A little over a year ago, I cut my hair low to return natural. I.e for guys that don't understand that, I decided to stop the use of chemicals on my hair, and simply stick to my hair's natural state.
Well, to return  natural is like going back to basics, learning the new methods of caring for your hair and bla bla bla.

For a good while now my hair had been growing, but the growth stage wasnt too long, so I could wear my hair in an easy afro anyday.  It's been over a year now, and the hair is grown, I mean grown past easy afro stage. Meaning to take my hair out with the intentions of looking normal, I need to take time and actually do something to it. This stage of growth is called the akward stage, whereby the hair isn't short, but isn't long enough to also do some things.
