Shaky legs, Awesome God

As I drove to work this morning, I saw and picked up a neighbor I saw by the road. Not far from the pick up point, while patiently waiting for the traffic light to go green I felt a sudden impact from behind. Yes, one nice man had hit my car from behind.

As expected, shocked and with already shaky legs I step out to see whatever impact had been made. Thankfully, there was none.

I step back into the car and the light is green. As I started to drive I realise my legs were shaking. I was still in shock, simply because I wasn't expecting to be hit.

Truth is, I was scared as well and I wasnt so sure if I wanted to keep driving and didn't know how I'll make it to work.

God being God, the neighbor I picked starts making conversation and before I know it I was driving freely and telling a story. It didn't hit me till he alighted that the fear I had, disappeared somewhere during our chat.

As realization struck me, it simply reminded me of the fact that God cares for us. Even to the little details. In truth, this neighbour of mine leaves for work earlier than I do. And he had mentioned he was going to get off halfway to pick a bike in time for a meeting he was almost late for.

But God knew why he needed to leave for work late today. He knew I'll need someone to get my mind off my worries and keep moving.

This was my reality this morning. This is the reality of our lives sometimes, we get hit by situations and circumstances and God needs us not to focus on those circumstances, but just move on.

Truth is, I didn't have any other challenge driving to work, but if I had kept my focus on the little accident, I wouldn't have moved on.

So dear friend, as you go about life and encounter those challenges, remember; they don't define you. Don't focus on them, but press on.

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life.. Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? Matthew 6:25a, 27
